REVEREND CANON PROF. SAM LUBOGA
The Chairman Harambee Youth MHA, Global Advisory Council, Rev. Prof. Sam Lugoba is the Chairman Uganda Education Service Commission the Republic of Uganda was appointed as Chairman, Board of Directors of Mildmay Uganda (MUg) in 2010. He is a Medical Doctor by profession, Surgeon, Associate Professor of Anatomy, and a Priest with the Anglican Church of Uganda.
DR. WAISWA PETER
Currently recognized as one of the global experts in Infant mortality and member of the advisory board of World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Peter Waiswa is a Ugandan medical doctor, Associate professor of Health Policy Planning and Management at Makerere University School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Uganda. He is a health systems researcher with focus on newborn health and development and maternal-newborn-child health services.
He leads the In Depth network (Network of DSS Sites around the world) on Maternal-Newborn Health and is a frequent advisor to international organizations on maternal, newborn and child health. He holds a joint PhD degree from Karolinska Institute and Makerere University and is on the faculty at Makerere University School of Public Health, Uganda, as well as at Karolinska Institute, Sweden.
Prof Waiswa worked as a District Medical Officer for eight years under Iganga District Local Government where he rose to the rank of Principal Medical Officer. He has extensive experience in health systems and health service management. His research and program interests in low and middle income countries include health systems research including policy analysis, implementation and operations research, and how well these are linked to programming. Prof Waiswa has published over 60 peer reviewed articles in top global journals in Public Health but also books and book chapters. He is also involved in various community initiatives especially in Busoga, his motherland and recently received an Independence medal from the president for his community service
MRS. RACHEL MUBEEZI
A Humanitarian worker, Special needs education specialist from Seattle Pacific University USA, and Manager at Something Deeper Ministries, Rachel bring a wealth missionary work experience on team.
KYEBAGADHA BINASALI, MA S.N.E
Kyebagadha Binasali is a lecturer with Kyambogo University, Uganda, working in the area of ICT and Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities. His roles involve lecturing undergraduate courses in the field of sensory impairment, and researching current issues relating to the education of children with visual impairment.
Binasali serves as one of the members on the coordinating team implementing a national program hosted at Kyambogo University and funded by Royal Dutch Visio-Netherlands that provides services to more than 10,000 students and people with low vision in Uganda to be able to acquire the skills and confidence to work and live normal and productive lives in society.
Binasali earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Based Rehabilitation in 2012, a Master's Degree in Special Needs Education in 2017, and completed Adapted ICT course in 2016 from Netherlands. Binasali has 8 years of experience as an educator and lecturer in the field of disability, Adapted ICT and community development in Uganda with specialization in education of children with blindness and low vision. He is a tireless advocate for the blind and other people with disabilities; He has made numerous presentations before the general public, consumer groups, rehabilitation professionals, and educators on the future of persons with disabilities in Uganda.
MR. BENON KIGENYI,
Mr. Benon Moses Kigenyi co-founder member of Harambee Youth MHA has a long history of youth humanitarian and social support activities spanning from his youthful years at Makerere University Kampala, Uganda. Benon, a current holder of a master’s degree in Public sector management, on the other hand was very instrumental as a student mobiliser and strategist for many university initiatives and activities including organizing a very successful International Youth conference in 1998 as the secretary general.
Benon later join public service where to date has climbed to top ladders as a senior public officer working as Undersecretary ministry of Gender, Labor and Social development (MoGLSD) of the Government of Uganda
MRS. BABIRYE YUDAYA MARIAM
Yudaya was the first female student leader of a cultural oriented organization, the Makerere University Abasoga Nseete students association (students from Busoga Kingdom in eastern Uganda). Using her position, Yudaya mobilized fellow Abasoga Nseete students and they pulled together resources to put a Zebra Crossing at the lower eastern gate of the University, she also used her leadership to inspire many Basoga and other students to join positions of leadership which gave birth to one of the most outstanding guild presidents the university has ever had, Hon Asuman Basalirwa, the current member of parliament for Bugiri municipality.
AMBASSADOR GAIL MACKENZIE, PHD
A global icon with a spanning experience of over 15 years in superb international relations and business consulting. Ambassador Gail holds Doctor of Humanitarian Arts & Letters November 2019 from Harvest Christian University. She is the Chief Executive officer of Contact International Inc. a firm involved in facilitating global business services. Organizes business meetings with heads of states and decision makers in the private and governmental sector, develops strategic business systems and alliances to ensure national and global sustainability of projects, business travels and identification of global foreign direct investment opportunities. Prior to this, Ambassador Gail was High Level Representative for A.L.J.T - Dubai/UAE and Sheikh of Bahrain. 2013 – 2015 where is Created and established strategic global programs.
Identified government and fortune 100 partners to foster economic alliances for business Investments and trade between Dubai/UAE, Bahrain and Africa. She also served as Director of O.B.F. / His Excellency Omar Bongo Foundation - Nonprofit organization registered in the USA 2009-2013 where she established a youth and educational exchange programs. She was also Attache’ to the President office - Late President Omar Bongo Ondimba. 1998- 2009, facilitating Facilitated diplomatic and business relationships between US professionals and the government of Gabon under the directions of Mme. Pascaline Bongo Ondimba former chief of staff to His Excellency President Omar Bongo. She therefore brings a breadth expertise in international cooperation and youth exchange programs
